Foodie, Blogger, Website Designer, Directory Curator, Magazine Publisher – how does she do it? Join us on Thursday 28th June at our next Slow Food Noosa Breakfast and hear first-hand from Petra Frieser what it takes.
Growing up on a farm in the beautiful King Valley region in North East Victoria, Petra was surrounded by fresh regional produce from a very early age. So when she moved to the Sunshine Coast with her family some years ago, she became obsessed with seeking out fresh regional produce. She loves food, adores cooking, is passionate about farming and fascinated by the wonderfully diverse farming and food producing community that we have on the Sunshine Coast.
Obsessions, once begun become hard to shake, but to her good fortune, her obsession has evolved into writing a number of books and the development of her website sharing with others the many edible treasures she has discovered.
These days her time is consumed with discovering, writing, photographing and delighting in the wonders of all things food! She writes for various publications as well as her own blogs and consults with food industry individuals in order to raise awareness and appreciation of the fabulous Sunshine Coast food and beverage industries.
Last month saw the launch of Regional Foodie magazine, a Sunshine Coast focused food magazine which is a collaborative effort between Petra and Lisa Chant (former editor of the weekender), through which she continues her food journey.
