2011: Bollywood Dinner, 25 March
Add a little spice to your life next month and join us for a Slow Food evening at the renowned Saffron Namaste restaurant in Pomona.
Chef Surinder Dhawan will be preparing a three-course dinner of delicious, authentic Indian food. Surinder hails from Mumbai and adopts an ayurvedic and holistic approach to his cooking. He roasts all his own spices and his cuisine is a blend of traditional Hindu and Moghul influences.
Our menu for the night will be:
Samosa aur Chole
Traditional Punjabi Samosa served with chickpeas cooked with a tamarind & tea infusion

Chicken marinated overnight with Saffron, yogurt and garam masala and grilled
A North Indian dish with Mughal influence
Rogan Josh
Leg of lamb pieces slow cooked in Kashmiri style with spices, tomato, onion, ginger and garlic
Cardamom & Bayleaf Basmati Pullav rice
Makhani Dhal
Pickles – Pappadum

The dinner is BYO only, and the price is $55 for members and $59 for non-members.
Please note that this price ALSO includes bus transport to the restaurant in Pomona. Pick up from The J in Noosa Junction at 5.30pm and return at 9.30. Two other pick up addresses from the Noosa area to be confirmed after bookings.
Invite some friends, don your most brightly coloured clothes, slap on a bindi and join us for a fun filled night of great Indian food and music.
