2010: Terra Madre Day Lunch, 12 December
INTERNATIONAL TERRA MADRE DAY CELEBRATION
‘Al fresco’ Greek-style Lunch
at Riverside, Noosa Regional Art Gallery
on Sunday 12th December
at 12.30pm for 1.00pm service
The Noosa Slow Food Convivium committee invites you to celebrate International Terra Madre Day, along with Slow Food members around the world, at a special ‘al fresco’ Greek-style Long Lunch, at the delightful Riverside setting at the Noosa Regional Art Gallery.
The Greek menu will be planned by past-President Matt Golinski, Anne Marshall and Erika Hackett. The food will be prepared by a talented team of Slow Food members. Wine will be available to purchase on the day. As well as Greek food, there will be Greek music and entertainment. (BYO plate to smash!).
The “International Terra Madre Day” celebration is turning into a tradition which has grown out of an initiative of the Slow Food Terra Madre bi-annual conferences held in Milan, northern Italy. It is an important time to be grateful to Terra Madre (Mother Earth) for our natural, wholesome and delicious varieties of food that we eagerly enjoy at all our functions.
All profits from this function will go towards introducing our next School Kitchen Garden at Eumundi Primary School and also towards supporting our local growers and food artisans.
Cost – $60 members – $70 non-members
Numbers limited to 60 so book ASAP. Members and friends welcome.
